Who am I?
I am a first year PhD student at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) in the biological sciences department studying ecology and evolution.
I am part of the Salles Lab, studying bat communication. I focus on the behavioral aspects of how bats process sound while interacting with one another. My current project focuses on determining if there are social dominance hierarchies within all female groups of Carollia perscipillata. |
Salles Lab
Our lab is studying the auditory pathways of the brain, focusing on the processing of social communications. We utilize behavioral, electrophysiological, and molecular methods to study how the brains of these bats understand each other's communication calls.
